Madame Poulet
For a long time I’ve been meaning to tell you about my favorite lesson of the week, Madame Poulet, or Mrs. Chicken as she once called herself. She’s a retired History and geography teacher (History and Geography come together in France) and is very well read. We talk about everything. During the war she was amongst a lot of people who fled from the Nazis, they had to return home as they were cut off from the other direction too. the hour goes so fast. Last week she had a couple of funny turns while she was here. I offered to take her home but she insisted on walking on her own. I was very relieved when she telephoned to say that she’d arrived safely. I wonder if she will be well enough to come this week
