More notes to add to yesterday’s post.

I forgot to mention that when we walk around the village after dark, we hear at least 3 nightingales singing. They really do sing beautifully. Only the lonely male sings at night.

Do you remember these? They were nightingales and unfortunately they never came back again. Being so close to the house was obviously too stressful for them

Nightingales arrived here in Fitou just as we did just over a week ago, who needs radio when you have that?

Lagoons are dotted with flamingos too, this is not at all like Scotland, well except the low temperatures!

I don't know if I have ever heard a Nightengale. Now I have to look it up on Youtube to hear one.

I don't think I have ever heard it. It is nice sounding.

There are swallows that nest every year in side the old barn that they use as the bookshop (where I volunteer) and gallery at quarr abbey now. they make a lot of noise and once one flew into the shop, it didn't freak out it just sat on one of the beams for a while then flew out the door again.
Looks like blog explosion has disappeared completely now, any news on any new blog traffic exchanges? I google every now and then but nothing has come up.

Caroline: We're still hearing them on our evening walks

Connie: They are lovely on a warm evening stroll - very romantic.

Nancy: I would have expected panic from a bird in a place like that. BTW, exposeyourblog.com is still up and running - next week (June 4th) is our first birthday!
