Catch Me If You Can

Rob and I took a little time off yesterday afternoon. As it was pouring with rain we put on a film. Not only is Catch Me If You Can worth watching, it has one of the best opening title sequences, on a par with the first Pink Panther film.

Ooer! Only half a picture? Never mind Anji,; you forgot to re-size it.

If you click on the picture when it starts it will jump to the youtube site, and you can see all of it. Tut!

It's a really good opening. My favourite opening credits is Ghost Dog - The Way of the Samurai. No graphics or anything but I was hooked on the film straight away:

I am feeling quite nostalgic for those late sixties early seventies films and this one not only had a great opening sequence the film was also intelligent and entertaining. Thanks for the reminder.

We all make a link and the shape comes out wrong, this is a fault of the stupid geeky think they know it all programmers who have failed to write the correct code.

Keith:I did fiddle with it, I think it's because it was made for a wide screen. I'm going to have to find another link when I've got a minute. After all that, did you enjoy it?

Bill Y: The opening to films is just as important as the rest. Thanks for the link, I'll chzck it out.

Caroline:It was a good film and based on a true story - even better.

I'll become geeky one day...

More important than fitting to the screen was the concept of the opening, which was great. As was the movie. I've watched it a couple of times, and enjoyed it each time. It is amazing what some people can do and get away with, and be successful at, and then turn it into legitimate income!

Outstanding! Now I want to see the movie!

Don: I've seen the film several times now too. People will believe anything if you are confident enough...

Cas: You must!

Yeh it is a great opening title sequence. It actually reminds me of some of Hitchcock's openings. Thanks for posting it Anji. I'll look at the film again now.

Sue: It's always worth rewatching, I think.
