I woke up at four this morning having had the most terrible nightmare: The computer was making awful noises so I thought I’d better turn it off in case it blew up. I turned it off, but the screen stayed on and I could see images of people in slavery and destruction, ruins of buildings. The people in charge weren’t quite human and I started to realise that we’d been invaded from another planet. The dreadful realisation set in that there was nothing anyone could do about it. I felt like going outside to look at the sky and then thought better of it and stayed inside.
It was all quite logical once I was awake (though I didn’t get back to sleep again). The computer noises were Rob’s snoring! I think the scenes of labour and destruction came from the Lord of The Rings films. I can’t shake that feeling of dread though.

Sounds nasty - but men have a lot to say about their snoring, and none of it is pleasant!
That dread you can get from dreams is awful, isn't it? I hope it goes away soon. If you've got weather like we've got here, it may help...
I had a dream years and years ago that could actually have happened, and I still pause to wonder if it really did, and hope it didn't...
What an awful dream!!
Don's been snoring since allergy season has started. I lose sleep every night.
And he's always so sorry. He's so nice, but he still snores this time of year.
What a bad dream.
I am glad to meet another fan of the Lord of the rings though.

There's a LOT happening on our planet right now, with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. That coupled with your husband's snoring...well, go figure. ;):D

Happily surfed in via BlogExplosion.
LotR occasionally gives me nightmares as well; mostly when my BF and I have 12-hour marathons!
Have you thought of writing a book? Maybe a short story...that nightmare has the makings of a really good story.

Zed: he never wakes himself up, which is annoying.
Dru: Some dreams are so vivid. I once had a very erotic dream about a colleague at work, I was so embarrassed the next day.
Cas: the pollen certainly makes things worse here too.
Lisalisa: Thanks for visiting. I was sure that the Misty Mountains were the Malvern Hills at one time...
Lifesinger: Pleased to hear you got through from BlogExplosion. Looking back, perhaps I predicted the cloud of volcanic ash!
Chickensushi: Hope you have sweet dreams most of the time.
Cullen: A lot of my imaginings turn into the short stories on my Still Learning blog.
