Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible

This post will appear on more than one of my blogs.

For quite a long time now we framed the scans of our postcards sold on ebay.  It made them stand out and we thought, looked more professional.  We were told that we would have to stop doing this about a year ago; so we stopped.  Now we have to take the remaining frame from cards online.  Several thousand need to be changed before ‘the spring’.  I’m going as fast as I can (re-scanning about 30 a day) but I won’t get them all.  I know that ebay can ‘disappear’ announcements.

There is a service provided that can make the changes for you, but we can’t afford it.

So for a while I won’t be blogging or visiting or surfing much.

Yet another online service turned bad. Why on earth would they want to try and annoy their customers!?

Sadly the net is no longer the joyous place it was just a few years ago.

On the upside I am getting a lot of work done around the house and garden with only brief visits online to mostly check emails. I have regained a large chunk of my life...

Well that does not sound like fun at all. :-(

Coline: Sellers aren't considered as customers... Not had much time for the garden so far; managed to get out once between rainstorms. We have a good line in mud this year.

Stefani: I've got into a routine with it all now. Rob is also using it as a moment to tidy up the older announcements.

Why would they care if you have a frame on the pictures or not? What does it do for or against them? Makes no sense to me....

That said, I actually think that it looks better without the frame.

Brother Don: It makes our images stand out in a crowd... We're supposed to pay extra for eBay's own frames. I must admit that the colours are more real in the image without a frame. The red border does seem to bring the colours out which could be misleading I suppose - we haven't had any complaints to date.
