Looking back on my blog 10 years ago (I do
it because I can), I came across a post referring to a blogger who had
written about a letter written by the
Smithsonian institute to someone who had discovered a Barbie skull in their
backyard.
I looked the letter up again using
Google and discovered that there are now a couple of footnotes to the story…. If you never got round to reading the letter it is a must!

Thank you, Anji, for doubling me up with fits of laughter. Next time I unearth an old bottle in the garden I shall think of you and the Smithsonian Institute.
Funny that, I dug up a Roman wristwatch in my garden. I think it dates back to Pagan Rome. The leather strap was badly decayed, but the watch was in good condition.
I know it's roman because the dial has roman numerals on it and is inscribed "Tempus Fugit" (the owners name?) and it clearly states "Made in Italy" on the back. Oh, and the battery was flat.
Angela: Pleased to be of service!
Keith: One of my son's friends made a interesting collection of fossilised builders rubble from the garden of his newly built house...
