Strange week

It has been rather strange and Rob and I have certainly been feeling a little strange coping with the flu.

I had a new pupil this week. A farmer, who had lessons with Rob when we first came to France. I met him and his wife when I was expecting Christian. He asked me how my little boy was these days, expecting him to be 10 or eleven. Christian was 26 on Thursday! We had a lovely long phone call to celebrate. He’s now as old as Rob was when he was born.

Something else that is strange, though I don’t expect to feel the impact until next week, is that ExposeYourBlog! is closing down this weekend. I’ve just sent out my last newsletter (twice as usual – I never did get that right). Friar Don and I are sad to be letting it go, but we both have busy lives elsewhere now. Don needs to devote more time to his spiritual life and I wish him well for the future.

Me? I’m busy with my postcards and hopefully more blogging and writing.

Most of the last month vanished whilst we dealt with this year's colds and we are only now starting 2013...

We met up with a couple and the guy's name seemed familiar, eventually I placed it as someone I knew in the 1970's, he never worked out who I was...

Busy is a good enough reason to not be blogging.

I haven't seen any newsletters lately from EYB. Shuold I have?

I wrote back to Friar Don to thank him and you; and to say what a brave and bold decision it was to close down EYB. I take it no-one has come to the fore to take it over...

May your bugs soon clear up. xxx

Caroline: One minute New year and next up Valentine's day, how can time travel so fast?

I'm pleased that you weren't recognised, relaxed and happy that you are nowadays.

Doris: I've put the newsletter up on the blog - all that is left now. EYB! has been switched off, no takers. I advertised as much as I could all over the internet.

Thank you for your good wishes

There seems to be a general decline in blogging these day. I have been taking people off the blogroll on my page when I see that they don't update their pages now.

There used to be 35 at one time, now it's down to 7, including your good self.

Keith: I've been adding to mine recently, but I must have a look at the ones that are stuck to the bottom because they haven't been updated for a couple of years
