More of a scrapbook than a patchwork
That's a gorgeous flower! But I have no idea what it is.
Hi Anji,Looks like a Triffid to me. Watch out!:0)CheersPM
Very wild guess 'bachelors button'.
Véronique: It is lovely, looks like a thistle from a distance.PM: I will be ready for it when it starts to moveEllena: thank you for the information. I'll go and look it up!
Not bachelor's button. The leaves are wrong. That's what I'd call cornflowers. I enjoyed looking at all of the images on google though!
Wherever I found it I could not see enough of the leaves and opted for the 'bachelor' because leaves were defined as silver gray fuzzy. But then it said that they are annuals and that did not match yours. We both know a bit more now.
The plant is still a mystery. I've been asking everyone who comes to the house too.
Thistle (which is a weed at least here in the states)?Friar Don, OBRhttp://exposeyourblog.com
Don: It does look like a thistle, but it's not at all prickly.
