Something I haven’t done in a long, long time is delve into my old diaries. So today I’ve gone back in my time machine 25 years and arrived at Tuesday 14th August. I was still living in England then. Nothing much really happened, work and Indian meal with friend. I had chicken korma. At the bottom of the page it says “Started to eat meat again”. That was the end of my year long vegetarian experiment. Funnily enough, Dom did something similar a couple of years ago.

That is so neat. I have no clue what I was doing 25 years ago. I'll have to give that some thought.
I love old diaries. It's amazing how much of our lives we forget until we read what we wrote so long ago.
I think everyone gives up eating meat at some point in their lives. For some, it lasts forever. For others, it's just, as you called it, a "vegetarian experiment."
Interesting post. :)

I started keeping notes for my diary on computer about 20 years ago, and after a few years stopped transcribing them into hardcopy notebooks. Instead I began transcribing my hardcopy ones into a digital format. So now most days I look up to see what I was doing 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years ago. It's quite fun to do that.
Cas: I can't believe how the time has flown...
Suzanne: Thank you for your visit. Would you believe when I try to look for a date or detail in my diaries I can never find it!
Steve: It is fun to look back. When I lived in England I read 'the oldest newspaper in the world' and they always looked back 50, 100 and 200 years:

Thanks for the link! An interesting read.
It's always interesting to look back. I'm not very good at keeping them up (which I'm sure you'll understand from looking at my poor site) but the ones I do have are embarrassing to read. Especially the ones from High School. Ugh, was I *ever* so melodramatic and full of teenage angst!
Steve: You're welcome
Kimberly: My children can read mine after I'm long gone.
