Another one gone...

Sometimes you find a new blog only to find it’s gone. Today it’s the turn of Dufusdownbeat, a music blog, to bite the dust. The last post is about the Rolling Stones’ Under My thumb, with a clip from Ready Steady Go.

It made me think of one of the presenters, Cathy Mcgowan, we all wanted to be like her, all of that lovely shiny hair. My research led me to this little gem of her miming and messing about with the Rolling Stones – and don’t they look young?  Thanks to Dufus.

Blogging, bloggers, blogs, blogrolls...

I’ve just spent a happy hour sorting out my list of blogs. I wasn’t happy with Blogrolling anymore, I didn’t like the advertisements; Now everyone is on the blogger list and will come to the top every time they up date their blogs. If you think that you’ve been missed please let me know.

I’ve added Helen and Lucy, so welcome to two newcomers! There was some sad news though. I’ve taken Leslie off and Titania still hasn’t come back, I know that she was having health problems, I hope that everything is okay there. Miimama –Demi, last posted when her husband was taken into hospital over a year ago, unfortunately he died in the spring.

All I have to do now is sort out the Blogrolls on my other blogs! I shan’t be doing that this evening.

The new girl

For quite a while now I’ve been reading the blog of a lady called Jo. I’ve been wanting to add her to my blogroll for ages because I know that many of you would enjoy her writing too. Unfortunately her blog was by invitation only.

Yesterday I discovered that she has now gone public with a second blog which promises to be as good as the first - or even better because she’s had more practise. Her blog is called Brilliant Girl Genius which is what she is, why not pop across and say hello.

My new blog

When my little blog died because Blog Charm closed down, I decided to set up a new blog here. The old blog was about books I’d read, what I’d heard on the radio and things I’d learnt. The new one is going to be the same except that I’ve written another short story and put it over there. If you liked the one I wrote for Christmas, take a look at the new one and let me know what you think…

Interesting work

Another little job I’ve taken on is helping to clear the backlog of new blogs for Blog Explosion. It’s really interesting. Seeing some of the stuff which tries to pass off as blogs makes me appreciate the importance of weeding them out before they get into the system; I also get to see some great new blogs. If anyone’s interesting in helping, visit the Blog Explosion forum where everything is explained.

Non waving ovens, kittens and blog birthday
I missed my 4th blog birthday. Perhaps it’s a good thing, it means that I have a real life to get on with too. I’ve written 1366 posts on this blog since I started it and 36,088 visitors have passed this way. I’ve made lots of friends from all over the world and learnt a little bit about a lot of things. Thank you.

My Micro wave oven has stopped waving. It’s quite a shock, I can tell you, when you think you’re going to have hot cooked pasta and you finish with a bowl of cold water with bits of still dry pasta lying in the bottom.

I’m not really an ’Aaaah pictures of kittens’ person but you must go and visit Mary Lou and see her little bundle of fluff. Makes me feel broody – that can’t be right…

New Addition
I've added a new blog to my blogroll which I know that regular readers will appreciate. There is a lovely story about the Breakfast Fairy which you must read. The Ripple Effect - Make a Difference. Start to Ripple.

Do you remember?
A couple of weeks ago I wrote about how you can make money with Pay Per Post. Well I’m writing about them again because I’ve discovered that if anyone signs up and enters my email address (anjiknut(at)aol(dot)com) as referrer I can earn $5. There’s a huge choice of all sorts of articles to choose from and you can be paid from couple of dollars upwards, when your post is accepted. You’re allowed to write up to three posts a day as long as there are unpaid posts in between. One of the advantages I’ve found with this is that it’s given me some fresh ideas for blog posts as much as anything else. There is an option where you can denote your fee to charity , if you’d rather do that.
