BlogExplosion: You can help

Thanks to an idea by thewatchlist, BlogExplosion members can help with the spam problem in the forums. All you have to do is reply to a message or start a new thread so that the spam doesn’t show up. Anything will do. Even a message of support. There is even a story you can add to in one of the threads. If you don’t feel like doing that. How about writing a post like this one? I think the more members who see it the better.

As regards approvals I’m afraid that we’re still in the middle of December. I did have a couple of hours to spare last weekend, but as BlogExplosion was off I couldn’t o anything. This weekend I’ve got problems with my internet connection, so I’ve approved about 3 blogs. There are just over 3000 blogs waiting approval. Probably 1000 are real blogs suitable for blogExplosion. It would be so much quicker if we didn’t have to wade through some of the rubbish.

  1. I don't really know what is going on with BlogExplosion. I remember a few weeks ago when you inquired and I said I have no problmes connecting to them. Now, since then I have read that they might not be around anymore. And indeed, my visitor statistic have sharply dropped because I did not get BlogExplosion visitors anymore. But since a few days they are back, as you can see on my "Feedjit" widget. The funny part is that when I want to go to BlogExplosion, my browsers says that they don't exist.

  2. Peter: I should have mentioned that in my post. Last weekend we all thought that they'd gone. At the moment Blogexplosion is online. There's a lot going on in the forums which is lovely to see. it's amazing how people will help when they are asked.

it's such a pity that the owners don't seem very interested at all.

  3. Thank you for the BE credits. That was very nice. Tell me what I did to get them and I'll do it again. ;-)

  4. Jan: I gave you the credits to thank you for leaving a comment on the forum. Very important at the moment. I'm afraid I can't give you credits everytime you comment!

  5. I don't know what is going on with blog explosion! I used it a few years ago to promote and build a readership for a blog I had. I still love it... but it seems to have less of an audience for my type of blog.

I keep a foodie blog, so I entered it into the cue for BE. I just heard back. I wonder if I'm one of the three!!!! Too funny.

  6. Icancarryallthebags: Good to have a satisfied customer. I managed about 40 more blogs this afternoon, so you were probably amongst those. I see quite a few foodie blogs - it always makes me hungry!

  9. Sometimes it's amazing to realize how much rubbish we can bury ourselves in be it in real life or cyber!

Having had my "address" much too long, I delete 150-200 spam mails a day on average...

But I'm not ready to give up a world full of wonderful people like you to avoid it!

Hi Anji! Thought I'd leave a comment as a very happy Blogexplosion user :) (apart from when I can't get on the site like others have said, and has caused my stats to plummet :( lol )

  12. It is me again. Crying for help!!

I get a lot of visitors from Blogexplosion. But I cannot connect to them! Everytime I put the URL, it says it cannot be found.

Today I got an email from Blogexplosion saying that somebody has left a comment on my blog. And they give the link to see the comment. But if I click the link it, again, says that the URL cannot be found.

I am working on several computers and it is the same thing everywhere.

    ???
